Installed on your server
Your IT team installs it on a server or virtual machine on your network. For a single user, it can run on one computer.
Sign in with your accounts
People sign in with your organization's accounts, from your identity provider. Signers enter their user ID and password at each electronic signature.
Updates when your IT is ready
Each update is one signed file. Your IT checks it, backs up and installs it when ready, and can roll back. A site with no network carries the file in.
Backups where you choose
The database and files are copied on a schedule to a location your IT chooses. A restore is tested before go-live.
Where AI fits
AI drafting, such as the rationale paragraph for an IRB application, runs on a model on your own hardware or through your organization's own cloud AI account, as your IT chooses. Records, the audit trail and signatures don't use AI.

Questions about running offline
- Does ConductCompliance need the internet when it runs offline?
- No. Once it's installed on your network, people sign in, create and review records, sign and export with no internet connection. Updates arrive as files your IT applies.
- Where are our records stored?
- On your servers, in a database and file store your IT controls. Backups go to a location you choose.
- Does anything leave our network?
- Only what your IT sets up. The software connects to your own services, such as your directory and mail server, and reaches outside your network only if your IT turns on update checks or a cloud AI account.
- How do updates work?
- Each update is one signed file. Your IT applies it when ready, after a backup, and can roll back to the previous version. For GMP use, each update comes with a change control record, so your quality unit can decide which tests to repeat.
- How do people sign in?
- With your organization's accounts, from your identity provider or directory, set up with your IT team. Each electronic signature asks for the signer's user ID and password.
- What server do we need?
- Sizing is set up with your IT team, based on how many people use it and how many records you keep. It runs on a server or virtual machine on your network, or on one computer for a single user.
- How does licensing work?
- Each installation has a license file that the software checks on your server, with no internet connection. If a license lapses, your records stay readable and exportable.
- Is the cloud version still available?
- Yes. ConductCompliance still runs in the cloud, and it's the same software either way. You choose where it runs.
